It's about to start

When I was little, I put band-aids on my dolls, and begged my parents for wheelchairs for my Barbies and American Girl dolls. I carried around a black plastic doctor bag with the funniest looking stethoscope you've ever seen.
All my life, I've wanted to be a nurse.

Tomorrow, that dream becomes a reality.

As of tomorrow at 9 AM, I will be a nursing student.

Is it odd that I'm scared?  Maybe everyone feels like this when they take their first step towards the rest of their life?

Here I come, USU- CEU nursing program. See you bright and early tomorrow.

Naomi Goes To SLC

My awesome Aussie friend, Naomi spent a week with me around the wonderful state of Utah.
We hung out in St. George, with another Disney friend, Crystal, and her grandma.
We hiked, a ton. Took lots of pictures, and ate really good food.

I also tried something completely new while in St. George. It's called skim boarding.
Basically, you run in shallow water with a small thin board, throw it onto the water, and jump on the board.
Some of the guys who taught me how to do it were AMAZING and rode forever on the board.
I made multiple attempts and got nowhere. Oh well. It was lots of fun regardless.

After that bit of the trip, my family and I took Naomi on her very first camping trip in Draper.

We also hiked Mt. Timpanogos and had Naomi's first experiences with J. Dawgs and Cafe Rio.

I'm so glad Naomi decided to listen to my pestering and begging to come to Utah. Now she's adventuring in Vegas and then she's on her way back home to Australia.

Thanks for coming, Naomi!  My family already misses you!
I'll see you in Australia next June!

G'day mate!

{ah, weddings}

My cousin, Ben got hitched to the prettiest girl this morning, Katie Rae.

It was such a sweet ceremony, they couldn't take their eyes off each other the entire time.

I'll admit, I was a cry baby at the beginning. That can be blamed entirely on Katie Rae, who came down the isle sniffling with happy tears.

They are so happy and in love with each other. It makes me melt.

The ceremony and reception were at my aunt's backyard. It was really hot, and I am now sporting an embarrassing sunburn on my left cheek, nose and left half of my forehead.  The decorations were really simple, but had a lot of meaning to the bride and groom.  They used baby's breath and pink carnations along with a few white roses. So simple and elegant!

Congrats guys!  And welcome to the family, Katie Rae!!

{the sands of time}

Ahh! It's been forever since a post!

Since getting home from FL, I've been incredibly busy. Renewing drivers licences, getting background checks started, buying books, looking for an apartment, wondering what to do about a car. It's been craaaazy up in my brain.

I'm still torn on a car, and really scared to buy one from some random Joe off the street. But then I go to a car dealership, give them my price point, and they put me in cars that are thousands higher than what I'm willing to spend. It's frustrating to say the least

I'm almost the owner of a nice 2 bedroom apartment in Price, but the realitor lady hasn't called me with info, and I might not have the apartment until later in July, which is disappointing.

The job I hoped the bag hasn't contacted me in over a week. So tomorrow I have to call and bug them about it. Joy.

Being an adult is hard, stop wishing to grow up, kiddies.

P & F

The last few weeks of my internship with Disney, I was friends with either Phineas or Ferb twice a week.  Probably some of the most entertaining shifts of the entire experience.  Not to mention I worked with tons of great girls and had some really amazing attendants.  In fact, I was friends with Ferb for my very last shift.  Here's a nice photo collage of the many many many pictures I took of my awesome friends.

Props to Photovisi for being the best free collage maker I've found thus far on the internet.

There's 104 days of summer vacation, and school comes along just to end it! So the annual problem for our generation, is finding a good way to spend it!

What are you going to do today?

My Sister, the Genius

After spending 5 months tucking my hair into sloppy buns and up in wig caps, my hair was in desperate need of a rehaul.  As luck would have it, my little sister, Dana, passed her boards last week, and is now an official cosmetologist. I took full advantage of her Magic Touch and let her have full reign of my mess of hair.
Can you see how my hair changes colors?!  I was soooo sick of it.

So, the day I landed in Utah, Dana and I set of on an epic adventure to regain control of my hair.  Dana picked the hair color, and I showed her the style I wanted.  Off to work she went, and I LOVE the results!

And now for the best part!

such a big difference!

Thanks so much, Dana-Bana!!!!
